Mousa Abu Marzook (Marzouk, Marzouq, Marzuq)

"CAIR's Grandfather" and Deputy Chief of the Hamas Political Bureau

During the 80's, Marzook was involved in the founding of three Hamas fronts inside the United States. This includes: CAIR's parent organization, the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), which ended operations in 2005 after being found liable for the murder of an American boy in Israel; the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), which was shut down and had its funds frozen by the U.S. govt. in December of 2001 for raising millions of dollars for Hamas; and a Hamas command center called the United Association for Studies and Research (UASR).

Marzook currently resides in Damascus, Syria, along with the head of Hamas, Khaled Mashaal.
