Riad Abdelkarim
Former Board Chairman of CAIR-Florida, former National Board member of CAIR, former Executive Committee member of CAIR-Los Angeles (CAIR-California), former Coordinator for CAIR's (dissolved)
Independent Writers Syndicate (IWS), and former Secretary of IAP's (dissolved) sister organization, the Holy Land Foundation for
Relief and Development (HLF)
Abdelkarim served as the Secretary of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF) in 2000, and shortly after HLF was shut down by the United States government, Abdelkarim founded KinderUSA in May of 2002.
(Testimony of Steven Emerson before the U.S. Senate Committee of Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, 'Money Laundering and Terror Financing Issues in the Middle East,' July 13, 2005)
On May 5, 2002, Abdelkarim was detained by the Israeli government, which claimed he was using the charity that he founded and Chaired, KinderUSA, to "transfer money to sponsor suicide bombings."

Omar Abdel-Rahman (a.k.a. The Blind Sheikh)
CAIR 'Person of Interest'
CAIR, in its 1996 book, entitled 'The Price of Ignorance,' in a section which
listed "incidents of anti-Muslim bias and violence," CAIR included the trial of Abdel-Rahman.
Cited in the book were Abdel-Rahman's lawyers, who had called the trial
"far from free and fair." (Jake Tapper, Salon, "Islam's flawed spokesmen,"
September 26, 2001)
While teaching theology at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, where he received
his doctorate in Islamic law, Rahman began to develop a following amongst
the school's more radical students. As well, he became a spiritual adviser to
Al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya (the Islamic Group), a religiously-charged political
institution calling for the violent overthrow of the "secular" Egyptian government
and the implementation of shari'a law; he would assume control of the organization
in 1980. In 1982, Rahman was charged with being a co-conspirator to the October 6,
1981 assassination of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. He had written the fatwa
(religious ruling) that sanctioned the murder. (Lawrence Wright, 'THE MAN BEHIND BIN
LADEN,' September 9, 2002)
Abdel-Rahman is serving a life sentence in prison for
his role as the spiritual leader of the group responsible
for the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, the
predecessor of Al-Qaeda, Maktab al-Khidmat (Afghan Services
Bureau). He had been involved with the group since the
mid-80s, throughout the Afghan jihad, along with Osama
bin Laden, Abdullah Azzam (bin Laden's mentor), and
Ayman al-Zawahiri (the leader of Egyptian Islamic Jihad).
(Fred Burton, STRATFOR, "Consequences of the 'Blind
Sheikh's' Eventual Death," December 20, 2006)
"Jihad in the name of G-d is the fountainhead of everything."

Post, 'The Making of an Islamic Symbol,' July 9, 1993)

Mona Abou Sayed
Former Secretary of the Dallas/Ft. Worth chapter of CAIR (CAIR-DFW, CAIR-Texas)
In February of 2005, Abou Sayed criticized writers of the Dallas Morning News for referring to Islam Online co-founder Yusuf
Qaradawi and others as “the world’s foremost radical Islamists.” (Dallas Morning News, ‘With
Friends Like These: Stop Saudi jihad proselytizing in U.S.’ February 6,
2005)
Qaradawi has justified suicide bombings and has been banned from the United States. (BBC News,
‘Al-Qaradawi full transcript,’ July 8, 2004) Abou Sayed described him and the others as "the
scholars of Islam." (Mona Abou Sayed, Dallas Morning
News, Letters to the Editor, ‘Stop the Generalizations’ February 21, 2005)

Christina Abraham
Civil Rights Coordinator of CAIR-Chicago (CAIR-Illinois)
"He [Hamas operative Mohammad Salah] had collected
donations. They were to go to families in Palestine,
who were split up by Israeli occupation. So these were
families who didn't have the breadwinner there with
them anymore… And the interesting thing about it is
that, at the time that he was arrested, Hamas wasn't
recognized as a terrorist organization by the United
States, so what he was doing then wasn't even, at the
time, illegal in the United States." (Christina Abraham,
WVON Radio Islam, Topic: Mohammad Salah Trial, December
29, 2006)
"…Hamas is not just a resistance organization. It provides social services - fundamental
social services - to Palestinians in the Occupied Territories. They're the ones that
run the schools. They're the ones that keep the hospitals going. So if you're bringing
money - you want to help the poor, help the needy in Palestine - how do you give your money
to an organization, how do you not give your money to Hamas, I mean? If you want it to get
to the people, you've got to take it through the people who are actually doing something for
the Palestinians in need, and that's Hamas." (ibid)
"What they're trying to do is put as many of these Muslims on trial as possible, and
'Let's show Americans that we're putting these terrorists away.' That's what they're
trying to do. So not being able to find the real terrorists - bin Laden is still out
there - they charge Salah with providing material support to a foreign terrorist
organization."
(ibid)
"I mean, here you have a man [Salah] who was only trying to help the poor in his country, so
what do you do when the people in power say that you can't funnel money through this [Hamas] -
you can't do it in this way - and they treat you like a criminal for trying to help,
for trying to funnel money? And this is a scary thing. This is what's scaring a
lot of Muslims, because as you said before, we all do it, we all send money back
home, and some of us send substantial amounts of money."
(ibid)
About Salah being sentenced to 21 months in prison: "It's a sad day for the
Muslim community." (statement by Christina Abraham, CBS-2 Chicago, '21 Months
For Man Once Accused Of Funding Hamas,' July 11, 2007)

Asma Ahmad
Managing Editor and Staff Writer for CAIR-California's monthly tabloid, In Focus,
and former website designer and former publicity assistant for CAIR-California
(CAIR-Los Angeles)
Under Ahmad’s leadership, In Focus published an article lauding Hezbollah and its
leader Hassan Nasrallah. The piece read, “[I]t was undoubtedly the epic heroism
of the resistance fighters that dealt the humiliating defeat to the
Anglo-American-backed Zionist forces, but such heroism would not have
been possible without the larger-than-life leader to inspire, direct and
focus it. Nasrallah’s leadership in war and later has made him into an
emblematic figure of long-cherished hope not only to a majority of the
Lebanese people but also to the Arab nation as a whole and indeed to the
Muslim world... The valour, selflessness and determination that made it
possible for the resistance he led to push back the Zionist military giant
cannot be denied...” (Mulham Assir, In Focus, ‘Nasrallah – Leadership and
Restraint,’ October 2006)
Under Ahmad’s leadership, In Focus has published full page, color advertisements
for the “charity” Islamic Relief in all of its newspapers, since June of 2005.
(In Focus, June 2005 – Present) According to the Israeli government, Islamic
Relief is a Hamas front that has provided funds and assistance to Hamas.
(Chris McGreal, The Guardian, ‘Israel accuses British-funded Islamic charity
of being front for terrorists,’ May 31, 2006) As well, in April of 2005, In
Focus published a full page ad for ICNA Relief, an Islamist “charity” that
is the top donor to a Pakistani group that gave $99,000 to the head of Hamas,
Khaled Mashaal, in August of 2006. (Joe Kaufman, FrontPage Magazine, ‘Helping
Hand to Hamas,’ May 15, 2007) And in March of 2006, In Focus published a
full-page ad from the Citizen’s Committee for Equal Justice announcing an
event to demand the release of convicted terrorist Sami Al-Arian.
(In Focus, March 2006)
In the October 2005 issue of In Focus, Ahmad lauded senior advisor to
the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC),
Maher Hathout, as a “prominent local speaker.” (Asma Ahmad, In Focus,
‘The Night Journey Remembered,’ October 2005) Hathout is a Hezbollah
supporter that declared, in May of 2001, that the United States is
“under Israeli occupation.” (Zionist Organization of America, ‘ZOA
Shocked By Decision To Give LA Human Relations Award To Pro-Hizballah,
U.S. & Israel-Basher Maher Hathout,’ September 6, 2006)
Besides creating CAIR-California’s website, Ahmad created a site for the Muslim
Students Association (MSA) at the University of Toronto and a site called Discover
Islam. (personal website of Asma Ahmad, ‘Portfolio,’ October 12, 2002) Featured on
Ahmad’s MSA-Toronto site was a message board containing a large amount of
anti-America, anti-Israel propaganda. (MSA-Toronto, Message Board, November
24, 2001 – October 20, 2002)
Featured on Ahmad’s Discover Islam site were downloadable lectures given by
Jamal Badawi and Ingrid Mattson. (Discover Islam, January 1, 2003 – October 21,
2004) Both Badawi and the organization Mattson is the President of, the Islamic
Society of North America (ISNA), were named as co-conspirators in the trial
against the Hamas charity, the Holy Land Foundation (HLF). (U.S. District Court
for the Northern District of Texas – Dallas Division, United States of America vs.
HLF, Shukri Abu Baker, Mohammed El-Mezain, Ghassan Elashi, Haitham Maghawri, Akram
Mishal, Mufid Abdulqader, Abdulrahman Odeh, ‘List of Unindicted Co-conspirators
and/or Joint Venturers,’ July 10, 2007)
While Ahmad was Editor of the National MSA newsletter, MSA Link, an article
was published in it threatening violence. It read, “Some call it resistance. Some call it
terrorism. Others call it revolutionary violence and some describe it as
civil disobedience. We just call it ‘Intifada’... They can suppress us, but
we will erupt again.” (Idris Elbakri, MSA Link, Vol. 17, ‘We are the Palestinian
People,’ March 2002)
In October of 2002, on behalf of CAIR-California, Ahmad advertised a
fundraising banquet featuring suspected co-conspirator
of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, Siraj Wahhaj. The title of the event was ‘A United and Secure America: With
Liberty and Justice for All.’ (Asma Ahmad, Dar ul Falah Forum, ‘CAIR Annual
Fundraiser,’ October 6, 2002)
In September of 2002, on Ahmad’s personal website, she wrote, “[I]nsha’Allah,
if I ever get a chance to live there, I'd like to work for an NGO and help build
schools, to help out in orphanages, attend Dr. Farhat Hashmi's lectures, and use
my skills to make a significant contribution to Pakistan.” (personal website of
Asma Ahmad, ‘Pakistan,’ September 9, 2002) Dr. Hashmi has preached that Muslim
women should let their husbands practice polygamy, so that “other sisters can
also benefit,” and when a woman asked her, during a sermon, what a wife should
do if her husband was unwilling to help her destitute parents, Hashmi argued
that the wife should comply with her husband’s wishes, “no matter what, as he
was her divinely appointed imam.” (Daily Times – Pakistan, ‘Farhat Hashmi
operating in Canada,’ May 6, 2005)

Omar
Ahmad
Co-founder and former National Chairman of CAIR, former board member of CAIR-Los Angeles (CAIR-California), and
former President of CAIR's (dissolved) parent organization,
the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP)
"Omar M. Ahmad, chairman of the board of the
Council on American-Islamic Relations, spoke before
a packed crowd at the Flamingo Palace banquet hall on
Peralta Boulevard, urging Muslims not to shirk their
duty of sharing the Islamic faith with those who are
'on the wrong side.' Muslim institutions, schools and
economic power should be strengthened in America, he
said. Those who stay in America should be 'open to society
without melting (into it),' keeping mosques open so
anyone can come and learn about Islam, he said. 'If
you choose to live here (in America)... you have a responsibility
to deliver the message of Islam,' he said. Islam isn't
in America to be equal to any other faith but to become
dominant, he said. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture,
should be the highest authority in America, and Islam
the only accepted religion on Earth, he said." (Lisa
Gardiner, San Ramon Valley Herald, 'American Muslim
leader urges faithful to spread Islam's message,' July
4, 1998)
"Someone in Islam is allowed to fight... Fighting for
freedom, fighting for Islam - that is not suicide. They
kill themselves for Islam." (stated by Omar Ahmad
at youth session of Islamic Association for Palestine
3rd Annual Convention, Chicago, November 1999)
"On FBI wiretaps recorded in 1993, Omar Ahmed, who has served as President of IAP
and Board Chairman of CAIR, is overheard professing his commitment to Hamas.
According to the FBI translation and summary of the conversation:
'Another member [Ahmed] said we (the Union [IAP]) can't, as an American
organization say we represent Samah (pronouncing Hamas from the rear to the
front). Can we go to the Congressman and tell him, I am Omar Yehya [Ahmed],
Chairman of the Union [IAP], Yassir Arafat doesn't represent me, but Ahmad
Yasin does?'" (Matthew Epstein, testimony before the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary, 'Terrorism:
Two Years After 9/11, Connecting the Dots,' September 10, 2003)
"Future CAIR leadership was present at the infamous '1993 Philadelphia meeting,'
which FBI documents describe as 'a meeting in the United States among senior
leaders of HAMAS, HLFRD and IAP.' According to FBI documents, the meeting
was attended by future CAIR board chairman Omar Yahya Ahmed and future
founding board member of the Texas CAIR chapter Ghassan Elashi. According to
an FBI action memorandum analyzing wiretaps of the meeting:
'The overall goal of the meeting was to develop a strategy to defeat the
Israeli/Palestinian peace accord, and to continue and improve their [HAMAS]
fund-raising and political activities in the United States...
The participants decided that for fund-raising purposes, the United States theater
was very valuable to them. They stated they could not afford to lose it. In the
United States, they could raise funds, propagate their political goals, affect public
opinion and influence decision-making of the U.S. Government.
It was mentioned that the United States provided them with a secure, legal
base from which to operate. The democratic environment in the United States
allowed them to perform activities that are extremely important to their cause.
In discussing financial matters the participants stated a belief that
continuation of the Holy War was inevitable.
It was decided that most or almost all of the funds collected in the future should
be directed to enhance the Islamic Resistance Movement and to weaken the selfrule
government. Holy War efforts should be supported by increasing spending on
the injured, the prisoners and their families, and the martyrs and their families.'
The fact that participants in this senior Hamas meeting would go on to organize CAIR
in the United States exposes the militant Islamic disposition of CAIR leadership." (ibid)

"The Justice Department should respect this sentiment and the verdict reached by [Sami] Al-Arian's peers by releasing him so that he may resume a normal life, or as close to normal as possible after such an ordeal."
(Parvez Ahmed, 'Al-Arian Verdict a Victory for Common Sense,' December 9, 2005)
"America's unconditional support of Israel makes it

Our one-sided support for Israel is a liability in the
war on terror." (Parvez Ahmed's blog, 'Unconditional
Support for Israel is a Liability for U.S.,' October
17, 2006)
"[W]hen U.S. policies lead to killings and bombings
as in Iraq, or the continued occupation as in Palestine,
or even Afghanistan where the Taliban is reforming and
there is a lot of violence, or the U.S. is not engaging
with the democratic regimes -- We're talking about democratization
in the Middle-East, but the most freely and fairly elected
government in the Middle-East, which is the Palestinian
government, the U.S. government is not engaging with
them." (statement by Parvez Ahmed on Al-Jazeera television
show discussing a new poll showing widespread anti-American
feelings throughout the Muslim world, April 24, 2007)
Immediately after Ahmed made his statement about how
the U.S. should engage with Hamas ("the Palestinian
government"), Al-Jazeera flashed the following caption
at the bottom of the screen: "ARMED WING OF HAMAS ENDS

Sami
Al-Arian
Co-founder of CAIR's (dissolved) parent organization,
the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), and
developer of IAP's (dissolved) magazine, Tareeq Filistine
(Road to Palestine)
In 1979, Al-Arian, along with a group of Palestinian students in Egypt, formed a violent breakaway faction from the Islamic Society (a.k.a. Muslim Brotherhood Palestine) called Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). Two years later, in November of 1981, Al-Arian founded the IAP, along with Aly A. Mishal and Mousa Abu Marzook. In 1987, Al-Arian created an entire infrastructure for PIJ, within a house, an office complex and a children's school, all based in Tampa Bay, Florida. On May 1, 2006, Al-Arian was sentenced to 57 months in prison for conspiring to provide material support to PIJ.
(Joe Kaufman, FrontPage Magazine, 'CAIR and Islamic Jihad,' May 23, 2006)
"Gaza hasn't been calm since… It brought new values to
the sons of Palestine. Forever have gone these values
that want mankind to be submissive, vanquished and inferior
to the occupier… The stones today defeat the Uzi, the
tanks and weapons… The stones that the boy, who is less
than 5 years old, carries and this mother who receives
the martyrdom of her children with smiles and trills
of joy… because her son has been martyred for the cause
of Palestine… We see today the Intifada, the
truth which Muslims gather round. We say to them, 'Come
to the Holy Land. Come forward to Jihad.' Despite all
difficulties, the Palestinian people have decided to
continue - to continue to confront, to continue to resist,
to continue to endure, to set an example for all people
and Muslims around them. Thus is the way of struggle.
Thus is the way of giving. Thus is the way of sacrifice…
Thus is the way of jihad. Thus is the way of martyrdom.
Thus is the way of blood, because this is the path to
heaven. Your brothers in Palestine are struggling with
their beings, so let us struggle here with our money…
We will not cede one meter or one span to the enemies
of G-d!" (statement by Sami Al-Arian, videotape of
PIJ fundraiser in Cleveland, Islamic Committee for Palestine
conference, April 1991)
"The Koran is our constitution. Jihad is our path. Victory to Islam. Death to Israel. Revolution, revolution till the victory." (statement from Sami Al-Arian speech, September 29, 1991)
Besides the IAP and PIJ, Al-Arian was also involved in the founding of
the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). (Islam Online, 'Guest CV,'

Fakhri
Al-Barzinji
President of Amana Publications, publisher of "the CAIR
Quran"
In February of 2002, Los Angeles city school officials
pulled more than 300 copies of The Meaning of THE
HOLY QURAN from area school libraries. The Quran
- an English translation published by Maryland-based
Amana Publications - was found to have had numerous
anti-Jewish commentaries contained within it. One of
the cited commentaries read, "The Jews in their arrogance
claimed that all wisdom and all knowledge of Allah was
enclosed in their hearts… Their claim was not only arrogance
but blasphemy." (Doug Smith, Henry Weinstein and
Teresa Watanabe, Los Angeles Times, 'Schools Remove
Donated Books,' February 7, 2002)
In March of 2002, the editor of this Quran, the International
Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), had its Virginia
offices raided by the FBI, in a probe that targeted
14 businesses accused of financing terrorism. One of
the groups IIIT was said to have financed was the World
and Islam Studies Enterprise (WISE), the Palestinian
Islamic Jihad front run by Sami Al-Arian. (Paul Sperry,
World Net Daily, 'Editor of Koran raided by feds,' April
12, 2002)
Only months after the L.A. ban and IIIT raid, in September
of 2002, CAIR began providing American libraries with
'The Meaning of THE HOLY QURAN' through its 'Explore
Islamic Culture & Civilization' project. And in May
of 2005, CAIR began a new program whereby the group
gave a free copy of the Amana-produced Quran to anyone
who asked. (Americans Against Hate, 'CAIR DISTRIBUTING

Mohammed Al-Hassan
Former Editor of IAP's (dissolved) magazine,
the Muslim World Monitor
Al-Hassan: "In his letter [to The New York Times], Mr. [Steven]
Emerson claimed that my organization, the Islamic Association for
Palestine, 'produces terrorist video recruitment films,' an allegation
that has no basis in fact." (Mohammed Al-Hassan, The New York Times,
Letters to the Editor, 'Muslim Terrorists a Minority,' February 25, 1995)
Emerson: "The IAP has... distributed terrorist recruitment videos through a company
called Aqsa Vision, housed in IAP headquarters. One such video, called Iz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades,
opens with dramatic shots of bearded Palestinian men armed with Kalashnikovs jumping out of trees and
aiming their rifles. Hamas fighters are featured arming and preparing weapons, machine guns, and
molotov cocktails. Interspersed with the operational video, fighters are interviewed, and boast
of their heroic killings of Jews and Palestinian 'collaborators.' There are even chilling
interviews of blindfolded Palestinians 'confessing' to their 'crimes' moments before their
execution. The end of the video says, 'To order your copy, call Aqsa Vision,' and gives the
Texas phone number of IAP." (Prepared Statement of Steven Emerson Before the Senate Judiciary
Committee Subcommittee on Terrorism, Technology and Government Information, 'Foreign terrorists
in America: Five Years After the World Trade Center Bombing,' February 24, 1998)
Al-Hassan: "I can categorically deny that our organization has ever raised money for Hamas or any
organization." (stated by Mohammed Al-Hassan, The Associated Press, 'Hamas Gets Funding From
U.S.,' October 20, 1994)
IAP: "We received this petition from Mrs Abu Marzook, and are circulating it to our readers
as requested... Brother Mousa Abu Marzook, the political leader of Hamas, who is

Altaf
Ali
Executive Director of CAIR-Florida
On October 11, 2001, exactly one month after 9/11, on the Steve Kane Show, Ali derided Americans Against Hate Chairman Joe Kaufman for being Jewish and was hesitant about answering the question of whether or not he believed the people that died during the attacks on the World Trade Center were innocent.
(Steve Kane Show, debate between Joe Kaufman and Altaf Ali, October 11, 2001)
Dialogue from October 11, 2001 Steve Kane Show:
Altaf Ali: "Are you a Jew?"
Joe Kaufman: "Yes, I am."
Ali: "Okay, no wonder!"
On March 1, 2008, Ali stood by his CAIR-Florida colleague, Jawhar "Joe" Badran, as Badran stated on camera, "Hamas is not a terrorist organization." (Americans Against Hate, 'CAIR States Support for Hamas,' March 7, 2008)
About the possibility that Al-Qaeda operative Adnan El Shukrijumah could be involved in terrorist activity:
"That would be a total shocker. It is beyond explanation. You're talking about
someone in your circle who frequents the same family centers you do."
(The New York Times, "Family Members Defend Man Sought as 'Imminent Threat,'" March 22, 2003)
About the FBI's treatment of 9/11 mastermind Khalid
Shaikh Mohammed in obtaining information on El Shukrijumah: "Has he been deprived
of sleep? Food? We have no idea, and they won’t tell
us what measures they have taken to elicit this information."
(Miami Herald, 'Ex-resident of Miramar being sought
in terror case,' March 31, 2003)
"The expedited shipment of American-made bombs to Israel is not a sign that our nation
wants a cease-fire or peace... The sentiments being played out are quite troubling and
one has to wonder, considering that the United States is playing a pivotal role in this
issue, whether the conflict will be transplanted here."

Adeeba Al-Zaman
Former Communications Director and former Office Manager
of CAIR-Philadelphia (CAIR-Pennsylvania)
On February 11, 2006, Al-Zaman participated in
a protest outside the offices of the Philadelphia Inquirer,
in response to the newspaper's reprinting of a cartoon
of the "Prophet" Muhammad. Sponsors of the protest included
such Muslim Brotherhood affiliates as the Muslim American
Society (MAS), the Muslim Students Association (MSA),
Young Muslims (YM), and the Islamic Circle of North
America (ICNA). (ICNA-Philadelphia flyer, 'DEMONSTRATION
against The Philadelphia Inquirer,' February 10, 2006)
ICNA's state representative, Iqbal Baqai, threatened
the newspaper, stating, "We are going to keep protesting
till they say they are sorry; Muslims are very angry
and the Inquirer offices could even be attacked." (Ayesha
Akram, The Christian Science Monitor, 'Muslim Americans
split on cartoons,' February 9, 2006)
One of the cartoon protestors held a sign advertising
the website of Why Islam? Showcased on
the site are an article stating that it is permissible
for husbands to beat their wives and a message board
whose posters laud Hezbollah and Hamas. (Joe Kaufman,
FrontPage Magazine, 'Why Jihad U?' August 30, 2006)
As well, at the protest, copies of a book featuring
convicted terrorist Ali al-Timimi as an editor, 'A Brief
Illustrated Guide to Understanding Islam,' were given
out. Al-Timimi had been charged with encouraging his
followers, in the days after 9/11, to join the Taliban
and attack Americans. (Mathew Barakat, Associated
Press, 'Islamic Scholar Ali Al-Timimi Convicted,' April
26, 2005)
"By the way, I just saw her [Samar Jarrah] today on our local station
discussing the Hamas issue. I will try to have a transcript of it
online later, insha'Allah. Very good points brought up… I asked [Ahmed]
Bedier and he said he did tape it. If he posts it then I will definitely
link to it, otherwise Bedier said I could have a copy." (Jennifer
Valko's blog idealmotion, 'Ready for Dialogue,' January 30, 2006)
Just four days prior to this, Jarrah, talking about Hamas on a radio
program, stated, "I am for national resistance. It's accorded to every
country under international law." (Public Radio International,
Open Source with Christopher Lydon, January 26, 2006)
On February 14, 2006, Al-Zaman, as Communications Director of CAIR, joined ICNA-Philadelphia
in a press conference "to launch a major educational effort focusing on the life and legacy
of Islam's Prophet Muhammad." (ICNA-Philadelphia, 'CAIR Philadelphia series on the Legacy of
the Prophet,' February 13, 2006) ICNA was established in 1971 to emulate the Muslim Brotherhood
of Pakistan, Jamaat-e-Islami, and has been investigated by the U.S. government for having possible
ties to Al-Qaeda. (Sherrie Gossett, Cybercast News Service, 'NY Muslim Group Linked to bin Laden
Supporters,' July 18, 2005)
"The unwillingness to call for a cease-fire gives the impression that the administration
places less value on the lives of American citizens of Arab descent and Islamic faith
and are therefore not worthy of protection from Israeli state terrorism. It is a shame
as well a crime that such destruction is happening with the political and financial
support of our government." (statement by Al-Zaman for an anti-Israel protest,
'Philadelphians Oppose U.S. Support for Israel's War on the Lebanese and Palestinians,'
Philadelphia Independent Media Center, August 4, 2006)
About the Foundation for Islamic Education (FIE), a school academy located in Villanova,
Pennsylvania that has doubled as a jihad camp for children, Al-Zaman stated, "They are
very warm and welcoming." (Jeff Price, Philadelphia Inquirer, 'Neighbors fight Islamic
foundation's expansion,' July 5, 2006) Individuals whom the FIE has provided a warm
welcome for, include:
- Maher Hathout, a Senior Advisor to the Muslim Public Affairs
Council (MPAC), who has on numerous occasions stated his support
for Hezbollah (Zionist Organization of America, 'ZOA Runs Radio
Ad Exposing L.A. Human Relations Awardee Hathout As Pro-Hezbollah
And US/Israel Basher,' September 20, 2006)
- Tariq Ramadan, a Swiss-born Muslim scholar, who had his
visa revoked by the U.S. State Department, due to his providing
of funds to Hamas (Josh Gerstein, The New York Sun, 'Oxford Scholar
Denied Visa Due to Alleged Hamas Links,' September 26, 2006)
- Riyadh ul-Haq, a Muslim cleric from England, who was banned from
entry into Canada, on grounds that he has incited hatred against Jews,
Hindus, homosexuals and moderate Muslims (Sheri Shefa, The Canadian
Jewish News, 'British imam denied entry into Canada, July 5, 2006)

Nihad
Awad (Hammad)
Co-founder and National Executive Director of CAIR,
former Public Relations Director and Spokesman of CAIR's (dissolved)
parent organization, the Islamic Association for Palestine
(IAP), and former Contributing Editor of IAP's (dissolved) magazine,
the Muslim World Monitor
'60 Minutes,' CBS, November 13, 1994:
Mike Wallace: "What do you think of the military undertakings of Hamas?"
Nihad Awad: "Well, I think that's -- that's for the people there to judge."
Wallace: "I'm asking you."
Awad: "The -- the United Nations Charter grants people who are under occupation to defend
themselves against illegal occupation."
"After I researched the situation inside and outside
Palestine, I am in support of the Hamas movement more
than the PLO... I know that this movement as an Islamic
movement has not been objectively reported in the United
States..." (stated by Nihad Awad at symposium at
Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, March 22,
1994)
“In June 1994, we used a modest donation as a starting budget to open the
Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in Washington, D.C.” (Nihad
Awad, Americans for Middle East Understanding, ‘Muslim-Americans in Mainstream
America,’ February 2000) The donation Awad was writing about was $5000 in seed
money from the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, a Hamas “charity”
shut down by the U.S. government in December of 2001. (Testimony of Steven Emerson
Before the United States Senate Committee of Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs,
‘Money Laundering and Terror Financing Issues in the Middle East,’ July 13, 2005)
"The arrest, detention and extradition is politically
motivated... [and] this campaign has been orchestrated
to serve as a wedge between America and Islamic countries."
(stated by Nihad Awad at May 10, 1996 press conference
organized to support U.S. detained Hamas leader Mousa
Abu Marzook)
In December of 1996, Awad was a featured speaker at a five-day IAP convention held in Chicago,
along with convicted terrorist Abdul Rahman al-Amoudi. (advertisement for Islamic
Association for Palestine 1996 Convention, 'The Islamic Issue - The Present And The
Future,' December 20, 1996)
"They [the Jews] have been saying 'Next year in Jerusalem'
- we say 'Next year to all Palestine.'" (stated by
Nihad Awad at Al-Awda rally at Lafayette Park in front
of the White House, September 16, 2000)
"Hollywood is not our friend. Holywood has distorted the facts.
Hollywood has shown freedom fighters as terrorists. Hollywood
has done the work that Zionists cannot done [sic]."
(ibid)
“[L]et me applaud the Canadian government for settling this case and congratulate Mr.
Arar, his family and those all who helped him, including our office, CAIR-Canada, who
took up this case and informed us about it, and we [sic] work on this case here in Washington.
And since we have been observing and monitoring this case, and we have waited for years to
see this day come through, and I’m glad to see that today, Friday, a settlement has been
announced. Mr. Arar has been vindicated by the Canadian government, and I hope that
he will take this as a chapter in the past and move on with his life and his kids.”
(statement by Nihad Awad about Al-Qaeda operative Maher Arar, CTV News, January 26, 2007) Arar, a Canadian citizen, was deported by the United States to Syria, in October of 2002.
Considered a threat to American security, Arar, after being returned to Canada by Syria,
continues to have his name on the U.S. ‘no fly’ list, which Awad said he hopes will change.
(CBC News, ‘Maher Arar: Timeline,’ January 26, 2007)
In October of 2000, Awad partnered with CAIR Communications Specialist, Randall "Ismail" Royer, in a 'Live Dialogue' session
on Islam Online. (Nihad Awad/Ismail Royer, Islam Online, Live Dialogue, 'Mobilizing Muslims in America,'
October 5, 2000) In less than a year from then, Royer, while still employed by CAIR, plotted with an Al-Qaeda related
group to murder Americans and Indians overseas. (Department of Justice, 'Randall Todd Royer and
Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Hamdi Sentenced for Participation in Virginia Jihad Network,' April 9, 2004)
Awad refused to condemn Hamas as a terrorist organization.

Hussam
Ayloush
Executive Director of CAIR-Los Angeles (CAIR-California)
Ayloush received a “special thanks” credit, in the July 1999 issue of Al-Talib, a publication
of the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at UCLA. The cover of the issue dons a picture of
Osama bin Laden, who the publication describes as a “freedom fighter and philanthropist.”
The issue contains an editorial signed by “The Al-Talib Staff,” which states, “When we
hear someone refer to the great Mujahid (someone who struggles in Allah’s cause) Osama bin
Laden as a ‘terrorist,’ we should defend our brother and refer to him as a freedom fighter,
someone who has forsaken wealth and power to fight in Allah’s cause and speak out against
oppressors. We take these stances only to please Allah.” (Al-Talib, ‘The Spirit of Jihad,’ July 1999)
Ayloush placed on his personal blog a photo of an Israeli fighter jet, referring to
it (him) as "the guilty Israeli terrorist," while at the same time posting to his blog photos of a
deceased baby draped in a Hamas flag. (Hussam Ayloush Official
Website, ‘Images from the Palestinian holocaust,’ March 1, 2008)
Ayloush has placed on his personal blog a link to IslamiCity (Hussam Ayloush Official
Website, ‘Links,’ July 24, 2007 - Present), a website that repeatedly calls for the
murder of Jews and repeatedly "curses" Jews and Christians. (IslamiCity, ‘Hadith -
Sahih Bukhari - English Translation,’ December 3, 2005 - Present)
Ayloush compared Allyson Rowen-Taylor, the former Associate Director of the American Jewish Congress (AJC) in Los
Angeles and co-founder of Stand With Us (SWU), to the people that beheaded Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel
Pearl, as being “two sides of the same coin.” (Ayloush statement on WMNF’s ‘True Talk,’ June 22, 2007)
Ayloush attacked Rowen-Taylor in response to her criticism aimed at a June 2007 CAIR-sponsored discussion
panel about a film on Pearl’s murder, where she likened CAIR’s involvement to “David Duke co-sponsoring
‘Schindler’s List’” and stated, “The only reason they like this film is because it’s about a dead Jew.”
The panel included pro-terror and anti-Israel groups, including CAIR, MPAC and Café Intifada. (Dianne
Garrett, Variety, “Where ‘Heart’ goes, controversy follows: Jolie film drawing attention from religious
orgs,” June 21, 2007)
"Wagdy Ghoneim is a highly regarded religious scholar who
gives speeches around the country." (Ayloush statement about radical Egyptian cleric Wagdy Ghoneim,
after Ghoneim's November 4, 2004 arrest) Soon after, Ghoneim was deported to Qatar.
(NewsMax, 'Arrested Mosque Leader in California Leaves U.S.' January 4, 2005)
"'Intifada' really indicates standing up against
injustice. Literally, if you want to describe the Jewish
uprising on the Warsaw Ghetto against the Nazis, in
Arabic you would call it the intifada." (Ayloush statement, The Jewish
Journal of Greater Los Angeles, 'Muslims Fumble on Team
Names,' December 12, 2003)
In one of his blog posts, Ayloush stated that “playing politics” with the Holocaust “is
immoral,” but then, within the same piece, he went on to use the tragedy of the Holocaust
to promote his anti-Israel agenda. In an article about the Holocaust, one would never
expect to read such phrases as “Israeli crimes against Palestinians” and “fighting the
Zionists extremists” – two of the phrases found in Ayloush’s post. (Hussam Ayloush’s
blog, ‘Denying the Holocaust is immoral and un-Islamic,’ December 20, 2006)
In one of his blog posts, Ayloush kept using the word “apartheid” with respect to Israel,
attempting to paint Israel as a racist state. (Hussam Ayloush’s blog, “Who
dares to use the ‘A’ word,” February 2, 2007) He employs former President Jimmy Carter’s
recently published book, ‘Palestine, Peace Not Apartheid,’ to reinforce this notion.
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has called Carter’s book a “biased account” exhibiting
an “obsession with blaming Israel,” which “unjustly encourages Israel-bashers around the
world” and “gives comfort to the extremists on the Palestinian side who are reinforced
in their extremism by this kind of ‘analysis.’” (Abraham H. Foxman, ADL, “Judging a Book
by Its Cover and Its Content: A review of ‘Palestine Peace Not Apartheid’ by Jimmy Carter” November 13, 2006)
Ayloush, once again, called Israel an “Apartheid state” and referred to the creation of Israel as “The Nakba” or “Catastrophe.” He wrote, “This week, Israel and its supporters celebrated the 60-year anniversary of the establishment of the Apartheid state of Israel on historic Palestine... 60 years of dispossesion are enough. Time to end this ongoing Nakba.” (The Official Blog of Hussam Ayloush, ‘The Nakba, Catastrophe, lives on, after 60 years,’ May 16, 2008)
Ayloush referred to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) as an "extremist group." (In Focus,
"CAIR slams ADL for 'smear tactics,'" September 2007)
“[Ayloush] claims his organization merely ‘denounce[s] human rights violations committed by Israel.’
But in fact, Ayloush himself is known to use the term ‘Zionazi’ to refer to Israelis and compare
Zionism to Nazism, once writing in an e-mail, ‘Indeed, the Zionazis are a bunch of nice people;
just like their Nazi brethren! It is just that the world keeps making up lies about them! It is so unfair.’”
(Steven Emerson, Los Angeles Jewish Journal, ‘CAIR,’ November 17, 2006)
Ayloush has referred to Zionism as “a political ideology whose tentacles are rooted in racism.”
(Hussam Ayloush, Orange County Register, ‘Column a slur on Muslim community,’ December 1, 2002)
Ayloush called the kidnapping of three Israeli soldiers by Hamas and Hezbollah a “military operation”
and said that Israel’s retaliation against the terrorist organizations was “very reminiscent
to the nazi style of collective punishment against the Jewish population, the Polish population,
the French population, in response to a resistance.” [Note the choice of his words. Hamas is
also known as the Islamic Resistance Movement.] He stated that it’s a “legitimate debate”
whether the kidnappings were “wise or unwise.” (Los Angeles ABC-7, ‘Mideast Crisis,’ August 2006)
Ayloush has complained of the United States’ treatment of the terrorist organization, Hamas,
which recently had many of its members voted into the Palestinian Authority. During a
May 2006 Khutbah (sermon) he gave at the Islamic Institute of Orange County (IIOC), Ayloush
stated: “Compare your situation to the situation of our brothers and sisters in Palestine…
They were starved, they were pressured and threatened with embargo, if they don’t have
democratic elections. And then, when they have the democratic elections, because we
don’t like the results, now they are being starved again, embargoed and punished.”
(Hussam Ayloush, IIOC speech, “Don’t Be Pessimistic,” May 19, 2006)
Ayloush stated on his blog that he would like to see the closure of the Guantanimo Bay
prison, where he believes at least some of the inmates are “innocent.” (Hussam
Ayloush, website of CAIR, ‘Shut Down the Gitmo Gulag,’ June 15, 2006) Ayloush posted
a picture of detainee
Sami Al-Haj on his blog, along with an Al-Haj poem threatening President Bush, and of him said,
"Mr. Al-Haj must be freed and compensated for all the harm we have caused to him and
his family. Mr. Al-Haj deserves an apology."
(Hussam Ayloush's blog, 'Prisoner 345,' August 27, 2007) But according to the
military: “Detainees are held at JTF-Guantanamo because they are dangerous and
continue to pose a threat to the U.S. and our allies. They have expressed a
commitment to kill Americans and our friends if released. These are not common
criminals, they are enemy combatants being detained because they have waged war
against our nation and they continue to pose a threat.” (U.S. Southern Command, ‘Gen. John Craddock's Opening Statement,’ June 20, 2006)
"At a recent press conference, a reporter jokingly asked
me how I felt now that there is a group called CAIR
Watch. I replied that I felt privileged." (Hussam
Ayloush's blog, 'It is humbling to be popular,' October
13, 2006)

Ihsan Bagby
National Board Member of CAIR, Executive Committee Member of the
Board of CAIR-Kentucky, and Co-author of CAIR's Phony Fatwa Against Terrorism
Bagby sits on the Board of Directors of the Islamic
Society of North America (ISNA) and is part of ISNA's
Leadership Development Center. (website of ISNA,
February 5, 2007) ISNA was established in 1981 by
the Muslim Brotherhood-related Muslim Students Association
(MSA) along with Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) leader
Sami Al-Arian. (Islam Online, 'Guest CV,' November
8, 2001)
Bagby also serves as Secretary General of the Muslim
Alliance of North America (MANA), which he founded,
in May of 2000, with a group of African-American Muslim
leaders. One of the leaders was Siraj Wahhaj, a Brooklyn
imam whose name is found on the U.S. Attorney's list
of suspected co-conspirators of the 1993 bombing of
the World Trade Center. (Militant Islam Monitor,
'List of Unindicted co conspirators in the 1993 World
Trade Center bombing ,' December 6, 2005) MANA was
created through the group Al-Ummah, in response to the
arrest of then-leader of Al-Ummah, H. Rap Brown, a.k.a.
Jamil Al-Amin, for the murder of a sheriff's deputy,
which he is currently serving a life sentence for. (website
of MANA, 'About MANA,' March 17, 2002)
"While the media conjures up images of H. Rap Brown,
the '60s revolutionary with his incendiary calls for
violence, Muslims of America bring to mind a different
image--a humble, soft-spoken, national leader who has
been instrumental in uniting the very diverse Muslim
community." (Ihsan Bagby, Beliefnet, 'The Jamil Al-Amin
Who Muslims Know,' July 4, 2003)
"Ultimately we can never be full citizens of this country… because there is
no way we can be fully committed to the institutions and ideologies of this
country." (Ihsan Bagby, The Muslims of America, 'Political Activities of
Muslims in America,' Oxford University Press, 1991)
"They fear involvement may make it easier for their children to adopt American
popular culture. They don't want to lose their souls by compromising Islamic
moral standards." (Ihsan Bagby, The News and Observer, 'Growing by faith,' July 8, 2003)
"When Bagby released his [demographic] study in April,
[The Mosque in America: A National Portrait],
many reporters noted that if his figures were right
then Muslims outnumbered Jews in the United States…
However, when one compares Bagby's methods and assumptions
with those of Smith and Kosmin, it is plain that Bagby's
is severely and fatally flawed… It seems that Bagby,
along with many 'ethnic group researchers' is willing
to bend every effort to increase the count of his group."
(Andrew A. Beveridge, Gotham Gazette, 'Counting Muslims,'
January 1, 2002)
"A Detroit-area Islamic organization, the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding,
released a survey of Detroit Muslims, A Portrait of Detroit Mosques: Muslim Views on
Policy, Politics and Religion, on April 6, 2004. Written by Ihsan Bagby, associate
professor of Islamic studies at the University of Kentucky, and conducted in mid-2003,
the survey's key thesis… is that 'The vast majority of Muslim Americans hold moderate
views on issues of policy, politics and religion.'… Bagby's results indicate anything
but moderation… [W]e have here a case of survey research being distorted by its sponsors
to hide the actual results. This is intellectual fraud and political deception." (Daniel
Pipes, FrontPage Magazine, 'The Moderation of American Muslims,' April 4, 2004)
"'There are 8 million Muslims in America now,' boasted a spokeswoman for something called
the Muslim Advancement Society… It's a wildly inflated estimate manufactured by the
Council on American-Islamic Relations, something that the media could easily refute
if they dared - simply by deconstructing CAIR's unscientific methodology… Finding
reliable data for Muslims in America is hard because the Census Bureau does not survey
creed. So CAIR, which has an agenda to Islamize America, has overfilled the vacuum. To
come up with its own figure, it hired a 'respected scholar' by the name of Ihsan Bagby
to lead its 'study.' But Bagby not only lacks independence - he's a CAIR board member -
he's not even a trained demographer. Worse, he admits the number he arrived at is a
'guesstimation.'" (Investor's Business Daily, 'The 8-Million Muslim Lie,' January 17, 2007)

Marya Bangee
Former Media Contact for CAIR National and former Contributing Writer
for CAIR-California's monthly tabloid, In Focus
While Bangee was a student at the University of California at Irvine (UCI),
she held the position of External Public Relations Director of the campus
Muslim Student Union (MSU). In that capacity, she wrote, “As has been stated
before, the MSU does not agree with the racist political ideology of Zionism.”
(Marya Bangee, New University, Letter to the Editor, ‘Coverage of Religious
Clubs Biased,’ October 23, 2006)
Concerning a May 2006 weeklong series sponsored by the MSU at UCI, which
made light of the Holocaust and which featured Hamas supporter Abdel Malik Ali,
Bangee stated, “The MSU believes the use of titles such as ‘Holocaust in the
Holy Land’ and ‘Israel: The Fourth Reich’ illustrate the very real parallel
between tragedies in the past - like, but not limited to, the Nazi policy of
extermination against Jews, gypsies and other minorities during World War II -
and the systematic genocide being carried out against the Palestinian people
today.” (Ben Ritter, UC-Irvine News, "MSU Provokes With ‘Holocaust’ Week: UC
Irvine’s Muslim Student Union expressed disapproval of the 'apartheid' state
of Israel," May 23, 2006)
“Zionism often uses the Holocaust to justify its genocidal policies...”
(stated by Marya Bangee, UC-Irvine News, "MSU Provokes With ‘Holocaust’ Week:
UC Irvine’s Muslim Student Union expressed disapproval of the 'apartheid'
state of Israel," May 23, 2006)
On January 31, 2007, following a speech made by Daniel Pipes at UCI, the
leader of the Muslim students attending the speech stated that “it's just
a matter of time before the State of Israel will be wiped off the face of
the map.” (website of Daniel Pipes, ‘My Disrupted Talk at the University of
California-Irvine,’ February 1, 2007) Bangee attempted to excuse away the
statement, saying, “He was talking about the political apparatus of Israel,
not the people there.” (Daniel Treiman, The Jewish Daily Forward, ‘California
Campuses Gain a Reputation as Hotbeds of Anti-Israel Rhetoric,’ April 5, 2007)
In her writings, Bangee attacks Daniel Pipes, one of the preeminent
scholars of our time in the fields of counter-terrorism and the Middle
East, falsely labeling him with such abusive terms as: “propagandist,”
“xenophobe,” “notorious racist” and “premiere Islamophobe.” (Marya Bangee,
New University, ‘Racist Speaker Welcomed by Hillel,’ February 5, 2007;
Marya Bangee, Muslamics, ‘Alkalima and World Domination: Muslim Students
Want to Take Over the World?’ March 17, 2007)
Along with her position in the MSU, Bangee held the title of Communications
Director of the West Zone Conference of the Muslims Students Association
(MSA West). While with the group, MSA West posted material on its website
praising Hamas. (MSA West, Multimedia, Audio Lectures, MSA West Conference
2006, “Da’wah, Political Activism and Civil Rights: Elevating the Word of
Allah in the campus and society,” July 11, 2007)
In a post on her site, Bangee repeatedly refers to Israel as “apartheid Israel.”
(Marya Bangee, Muslamics, ‘To see Summer Sky Is Poetry though,’ June 18, 2007)
On bringing back the Caliphate: “Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala bring back the
days when Islam was practiced in government, in society, in all spheres of
life. Ameen. The Muslim world truly needs another reviver.” (Marya Bangee,
Verbage, March 7, 2007)
Bangee demeaned legislation passed by the U.S. Senate regarding the combating of
domestic radicalization, stating that it reflected a “growing fear towards
Muslims.” (ibid)
In a post on her site, Bangee referred to the war in Iraq as “the illegal invasion and occupation
of Iraq.” (Marya Bangee, Verbage, March 18, 2007)
Bangee posted a picture on her website depicting a boy holding a string
attached to the ENTIRE nation of Israel with the caption, ‘I DREAM OF A
FREE PALESTINE.’ (Marya Bangee, Verbage, ‘Rachel Corrie,’ March 17, 2007)
Along with the picture, she posted a link to the website, Anti-“Israel,” a
site that features statements from leaders of Hamas. (Mousa Abu Marzook,
Anti-“Israel,” “Hamas’ stand: An official of the movement describes its goals
for all of Palestine,” July 10, 2007)
Bangee posted a quote from Palestinian cleric Tayser Al-Tamimi,
stating that the Al-Aqsa Mosque was being threatened by Israel.
(Marya Bangee, Verbage, ‘Masjid al-Aqsa – Under Seige?’ February
7, 2007) This is the same Tayser Al-Tamimi that is quoted as saying,
“Islam is escalating and cannot be resisted. I pray that Allah may
tear apart America just as the Soviet Union was torn apart.” And
“The Jews are destined to be persecuted, humiliated, and tortured
forever, and it is a Muslim duty to see to it that they reap their
due... Where Hitler failed, we must succeed.” (Debbie Schlussel,
"Terrorism’s American Gigolo: Richard Gere’s Palestinian Bedfellows,"
January 5, 2005)
In February of 2007, Bangee posted on her website a quote from Mohammed
claiming that Muslims have more of a right to celebrate Moses’s victory
over Egypt's Pharoah than Jews do. (Marya Bangee, Verbage, ‘An Auspicious Week,’
February 2, 2007)
In January of 2007, Bangee posted on her website a letter written by the
founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hassan al-Banna. (Marya Bangee, Verbage,
‘The Man with No Heart,’ January 22, 2007)
On January 3, 2007, Bangee ominously wrote on her website, “Speaking
of the future, the fictional documentary Death of a President is an
amazing intellectual exercise on what would happen if there were to be
an assassination.” (Marya Bangee, Verbage, ‘Our Common Humanity,’
January 3, 2007) Two days prior to this, Bangee posted the following
(related?) quote on her site, “The future, of course, is not something
you predict and wait for. It is something you invent daily through your
actions.” (Marya Bangee, Verbage, ‘A Reflection on 2006,’ January 1, 2007)
On her website, Bangee referred to former Secretary of Defense Donald
Rumsfeld and former Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton as
“two major warmongers.” (ibid)
Bangee is a writer for Alkalima, the official magazine of the Muslim
community at UCI. (website of Alkalima, ‘Staff,’ October 2005 – Present)
In June of 2004, Alkalima published an article calling the Israeli
execution of Hamas spiritual leader Ahmed Yassin as a “cowardly”
act. (Abdulrahman Hachache, Alkalima, ‘The Assassinations of Sheikh
Yassin and Dr. Rantissi,’ June 2004)
After two bloggers criticized Alkalima for posting a video on You Tube
titled ‘World Domination,’ which depicted the word “alkalima” – in both
Arabic and English – blanketing the Earth, Bangee attacked the two on a
blog, derogatorily referring to them as “Zionist #1” and “Zionist #2.”
(Marya Bangee, Muslamics, ‘Alkalima and World Domination: Muslim Students
Want to Take Over the World?’ March 17, 2007)
In April of 2007, Bangee posted a link, on a blog she’s affiliated with,
to IslamiCity (Marya Bangee, Muslamics, ‘Violence in Islam,’ April 24,
2007), a website that repeatedly calls for the murder of Jews and repeatedly
“curses” Jews and Christians. (IslamiCity, ‘Hadith - Sahih Bukhari - English
Translation,’ December 3, 2005 - Present)
Bangee asked for people to pray for leaders of the Hamas financier Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF). She stated, “They were falsely accused of supporting ‘terrorist organizations’ while they were actually feeding, clothing and educating the impoverished people of Palestine.” (Marya Bangee, Muslamics, “Holy Land Foundation Trail Verdict - Du`a' Needed,” October 19, 2007)
Bangee stated that she wears “intifada” shirts. (Marya Bangee, Muslamics, ‘Fired Principal of Arabic School Sues City,’ comments, November 19, 2007)

Ahmed
Bedier
Former Executive Director of CAIR-Tampa, former Communications Director of CAIR-Florida, and "Unofficial Spokesman" for
Sami Al-Arian
'Your Turn with Kathy Fountain,' WTVT-Tampa, December 7, 2005:
Fountain: "If [Sami Al-Arian] was associating with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, doesn't that seem immoral, in your opinion?"
Bedier: "To a certain degree. Now, before 1995 there was nothing immoral about it."
Bedier trying to defend PIJ leader Sami Al-Arian against being called a terrorist on WMNF's 'True Talk,', May 11, 2007:
Caller: "Hey, that Al-Arian guy, he was a professor at USF. Wasn’t – He was accused of being a terrorist, I guess.
Didn’t he say something off color on television, on that O’Reilly show, something about like ‘I want to kill all Jews’
or ‘All Jews must die’? Didn’t he say something like that?... He said something that got O’Reilly’s hair on his back –
It doesn’t take much. But I mean, the guy’s a terrorist, right?"
Bedier: "The caller’s question highlights the level of ignorance that the folks in Tampa and around the country have
about the Al-Arian case and the trial. A lot of these people never even stepped foot in the courtroom, but they think
they know everything there is to know about this trial, more so than even the jurors that sat there for six months.
Even the government, themselves, said that Al-Arian is not a terrorist. The government, themselves, admitted that
Al-Arian never financed any violence. What they did say was that he was conspiring with them to aid and provide
support for a terrorist organization. But even those charges did not stick, and the jury did not believe it,
based on the evidence, and that’s the American judicial system. People should not be smeared by the court of public
opinion without looking at the evidence.”
Pro-Hezbollah statements from guests on Ahmed Bedier's
radio show, True Talk, July 21, 2006:
- Author Bilal Al-Amin: “I’m not very good at being
brief about Hezbollah, but I’ll try. I’ll just say
that it’s not at all the picture that is portrayed
of it in the West, as some sort of cartoonish terrorist
group. It is a liberation movement in many senses
for the Lebanese Shia that has huge support, probably
more than any party in Lebanon… It has quite a clean
record, and its leader, Hasan Nasrallah, is revered
probably by most Lebanese as a fairly eloquent and
capable leader.”
- Professor Rania Masri: “They have been trying
to invade Lebanon since the first day. Yesterday
alone, there was a 20-hour battle between the Israeli
army and the National Resistance Movement of Hezbollah.
For 20 hours they fought. This speaks volumes about
the heroic nature of Hezbollah.”
- University of South Florida (USF) alum Fadia
Anani: “The fact of the matter is that Hezbollah
has a lot of the voice of the people here, so ultimately
Hezbollah’s voice needs to be heard. You can’t just
keep shutting it away, because it’s always gonna
rise again.”
'The Web As A Weapon,' Kevin Begos, The Tampa Tribune, September 11, 2006:
Begos: "Daniel Byman, a terrorism expert at the Brookings Institution in Washington, said Americans tend to think of these groups in absolutes - they either build hospitals or build bombs... For example, the United States has designated Hezbollah and Hamas as terrorist groups. But many people in the Middle East don't view them that way."
Bedier: "Oftentimes people in the West oversimplify
all the groups. Al-Qaida doesn't provide any social
services. They just attack civilians. They're not into
dialogue."
Ahmed Bedier's radio show, True Talk, May 23, 2008:
Samar Jarrah: "It's fascinating that some people who are supposedly terrorism experts and are advising this country are spending time to write about you moving up and changing your career. I mean, it's not like belittling you in any way, but I thought they would have much more important things to do."
Ahmed Bedier: "Yeah, I mean, well, if they think you're a terrorist, then they want to watch your movement."
On bringing back the Caliphate and denouncing the West:
"Yeah, well, we're looking for it still. Right now...
Since the fall of the Ottoman Empire - that was the
last major Muslim organized religion - we don't really
have a hierarchy that's organized how the Catholics
are organized. We're looking for that, and once we have
that one voice, unified voice, we'll be able to speak
up. Many people say all the time, 'Why aren't Muslims
condemning 9/11?' Well, we are, but we're doing it as
groups and as individuals, as different mosques, but
we're not doing it as one unified voice that speaks
clearly... We're trying. But the Ottoman Empire fell
because of the Allied Powers, and it was caused by colonialism
and so on. Again, Western Allies going there and dividing
the Ottoman Empire. That's what it is now." (statement
by Ahmed Bedier, WTVT-Tampa, 'Your Turn with Kathy Fountain,'
May 13, 2006)
"Catholic priests pose more of a terrorism threat by
having sex with young altar boys than those who flew
planes into the World Trade Center." (Ahmed Bedier
to Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite, during surprise
CAIR meeting with Congresswoman, May 29, 2004)
"Before the invasion, there were no terrorists in Iraq. There was no Al-Qaeda connections. There was no Zarqawi. There was no letters from Bin Laden. There was none of that stuff. There was nobody coming over the borders… But now, this is a breeding ground for terrorism and for insurgency, where people are coming in from all the borders. And it can’t be stopped." About the insurgency: "When people don’t have water or food, they do crazy things!" (statements
by Ahmed Bedier, WTVT-Tampa, 'Your Turn with Kathy Fountain,' October 17, 2005)
"I wouldn't work for any organization that has any type
of bad connections." (Ahmed Bedier, WMNF, 'True Talk,'
August 18, 2006)
"In my office, I have a picture of myself next to the
Special Agent in charge of the FBI - really big, you
know - and I tell them, 'This is my Get Out of Jail
card.'" (ibid)
“People, when you corner them [Muslims], when you keep attacking them and
demonizing them and treating them like animals, guess what? They’re gonna
snap. And one point, somebody’s gonna retaliate, and then all hell’s gonna
break loose.” (Ahmed Bedier speech at the University of South Florida, ‘The
Rise of Islamophobia,’ April of 2007)
Defending Ahmed Abda Sherf Mohamed and Yousef Samir Megahed,
two individuals arrested near a Naval base and charged with possession of explosive devices
(pipe bombs):
“Obviously their heritage and background is playing a major role in blowing
this out of proportion.” (stated by Ahmed Bedier, Tampa Bay Tribune, '2 USF Students In
S.C. Charged With Possession Of Pipe Bomb,' August 7, 2007) “And honestly
most people will tell you if these were some good old boys from South Carolina
traveling through the highway of that county and getting pulled over and having
some fireworks, I doubt that it would make news around the world. We believe that
there’s an overreaction that [sic] happening here just because of their Middle Eastern
and Muslim backgrounds.” (stated by Ahmed Bedier, WTSB - Tampa Bay 10, 'USF, CAIR
concerned about students arrest in South Carolina,' August 7, 2007)
Bedier, at a forum discussing the issue, refused to condemn the Islamic practice of stoning,
instead falsely noting that all three "monotheistic religions" prescribe
it and that, being that four witnesses are needed to establish the
crime (in Islamic courts), with a punishment of 70 lashes for a false accusation,
the evidentiary standard is virtually unattainable. (Robert Spencer,
Jihad Watch, 'CAIR's Ahmed Bedier passes up a chance to condemn stoning,'
January 12, 2008)
A speech to the Department of Defense: Central Command (CENTCOM) that
Bedier was scheduled to give on January 15, 2008 was cancelled, after information was provided to
CENTCOM about CAIR's terrorist ties. (Americans Against Hate, 'CAIR Speech
at CENTCOM Cancelled,' January 12, 2008)
"At the end of the program, we want to dedicate some time to what they're calling the 60th Anniversary Celebration of Israel's Independence. I really don't know what they gained independence from. We call it the Nakba, a disaster occupation for 60 years." (Ahmed Bedier, WMNF, 'True Talk,' May 9, 2008)

Khalil Bendib
Political Cartoonist for CAIR-California's monthly tabloid, In Focus
Bendib is a Berkeley-based cartoonist, who utilizes
his talents to demean the United States, Israel, Christians
and Jews. According to Bendib, the Anti-Defamation League
(ADL) has been monitoring his work for years. (Rona
Marech, San Francisco Chronicle, "Drawing from politics:
Berkeley cartoonist's Algerian Muslim American background
influences his satirical barbs," October 17, 2003)
In one of his cartoons, Bendib satirizes the September 11th attacks, drawing a plane
labeled "GW BUSH" crashing into two buildings resembling the World Trade Center's twin
towers. A character in the piece asks, "OSAMA BIN BUSH AND BLAIR AL ZARKAWI?" (Muslim
Observer, 'Al Djazeera,' 2005)
In another of his cartoons, the United States Capitol has an Israeli flag flying atop it.
It says, "THE ETERNAL, UNITED, UNDIVIDED - (BOTH HOUSES) - CAPITOL OF ISRAEL."
(www.iviews.com, 'Occupied territory,' 2000)
In another, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is giving birth to a baby wielding a kitchen
knife dripping with blood. The baby is labeled "ZIONIST JEWS." (Muslim Observer,
'Birth pangs two,' 2006)
In another, Bendib portrays the Jews, represented by an ape with a Star of David (Jewish Star),
as attempting to take over the world. The ape, standing atop the globe, states, "JERUSALEM,
FROM N.Y. CITY TO KUALA LUMPUR, UNDIVIDED, ETERNAL CAPITAL OF ISRAEL… EVERYTHING ELSE IS
NEGOTIABLE." (www.iviews.com, 'Israel's eternal and undivided capital,' 2000)
In yet another, Bendib conveys the message that the Jews control the media. Half the cartoon
reads, "Jewish Neighborhoods: (formerly known as illegal settlements)" and points to residences
in such towns as Hebron, Kiryat Shmona and East Jerusalem. The other half reads "Not Jewish
Neighborhoods: (Not officially, at least…)" and points to Beverly Hills, Hollywood, New York
City, Capitol Hill, CNN, PBS, Fox News, CBS and ABC." (Khalil Bendib, 'It Became Necessary To
Destroy the Planet in Order to Save It!' Elon House Publishing, June 2003)
In many of Bendib's cartoons, Jewish stars are shown
within and/or alongside symbols of violence. Ariel Sharon,
the former Prime Minister of Israel, is seen as bloodthirsty.
In one cartoon, the word "CANNIBAL" is emblazoned next
to Sharon's face. (www.bendib.com, 'Cannibal,' 2001)
Mid-East expert Daniel Pipes is depicted as a pro-Jewish
zealot. (Muslim Observer, 'Pipes camps,' 2005)
ADL National Director Abraham Foxman is labeled a "Zionist
Extremist."
(www.iviews.com; 'Terrorism schmerrorism, 2001) All three of Bendib's victims are drawn in
a manner reminiscent of anti-Semitic cartoons found in publications throughout the Arab world.
Bendib's sculpture, entitled 'Gas Christ,' was showcased at the University of California Berkeley, in
October and November of 2004. The piece displays a likeness of Jesus on the cross, with a hood over
his head, sitting in a jar of petroleum. Bendib stated that he modeled it after Andres Serrano's
highly offensive 'Piss Christ,' which contained an image of Jesus submerged in urine. (Somewhere
Elsewhere: A Premiere Contemporary Art Exhibition, Worth Ryder Gallery, October 19 - November 5, 2004)
"I'm known as America's Most Wanted political cartoonist, as you know -- most radical, most banned,
most censored." (Khalil Bendib, KPFA, 'Voices of the Middle East and North Africa,' June 15, 2005)

Zahra Billoo (Balbo)
Former Governmental Relations Intern for CAIR-Los Angeles (CAIR-California)
In addition to CAIR, Billoo has been active in the Muslim Brotherhood-related
Muslim Students Association (MSA). She was President, Treasurer and Public Relations
Chair of the MSA at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), and she held the
positions of Advisor and Communications Director for the National MSA West Zone Conference.
(website of MSA-LB, ‘MSA Board,’ October 4, 2003 – March 24, 2005)
While she was on the board of MSA-LB, the group advertised on its website a March 2004 MSA
West event, entitled ‘Purifying the Soul, Strengthening the Umma.’ (website of MSA-LB, homepage,
March 28, 2004) As well, it advertised some of the featured speakers of the event, including
Hatem Bazian, an individual that, less than two weeks later, was caught on videotape calling
for an “intifada” or armed uprising against the United States. (San Francisco rally, April 10,
2004) Bazian was also a representative for KindHearts, a Hamas charity that was shut down by
the U.S. government. (KindHearts flyer advertising its June 18, 2004 fundraising dinner,
entitled ‘Palestinians in Agony!’)
Billoo has a personal web page on My Space, an online community that allows you to keep in
contact with others. On it, she happily states, concerning which clubs she has been
involved with at CSULB, “All the ‘terrorist’ orgs. you could imagine!” (Zahra Billoo’s
My Space, homepage, June 1, 2007 - Present)
On Billoo’s My Space, she lists Islamic Relief, complete with the group’s logo, as a
“friend.” (Zahra Billoo’s My Space, “Zarah’s Friends,” June 1, 2007) According to
the Israeli government, Islamic Relief is a Hamas front that has provided funds
and assistance to Hamas. (Chris McGreal, The Guardian, ‘Israel accuses British-funded
Islamic charity of being front for terrorists,’ May 31, 2006)
Billoo is involved in blogging for at least three different web blogs on the internet, including one called
MUSLAMICS. Posted on this blog is part of a tract written by the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hassan
Al-Banna, (Angie Ellaboudy, Muslamics, ‘Advice from Imam Hassan Al Banna,’ April 25, 2007) Much of the tract
was omitted from the post, including the final paragraph, which states: “May Allah grant both of us success
in that which He loves and approves, and steer us on the path of those who are good and rightly guided; may
He make us live like the glorious and the fortunate, and grant us the death of martyrs and those who have
striven in jihad. For He is the best of Defenders, and the best of helpers.” (Hassan Al-Banna, ‘Between
Yesterday and Today,’ 1936)
Billoo posted, on MUSLAMICS, part of an op-ed written by Ahmed Yousef, the political advisor
to the head of Hamas in Gaza, Ismail Haniya, along with a color photo of Haniya. (Zahra Billoo,
Muslamics, ‘What Hamas Wants,’ June 20, 2007) The piece bizzarely blames Hamas's war with Fatah on the
United States and Israel. (Ahmed Yousef, The New York Times, ‘What Hamas Wants,’ June 20, 2007)
Billoo has her own personal blog, as well, called Cwzy Muslima. On it, she proudly announced that her “lil’ brother,” Ahmed, who is the outgoing President of MSA-LB, was quoted in the Los
Angeles Jewish Journal. (Cwzy Muslima, ‘Ahmed Billoo in the Jewish Journal?’ June 1, 2007) About the article, which discusses at length about how her
brother supports suicide bombings, she instructs her readers to “check it out.”
(Brad A. Greenberg, Jewish Journal, ‘Pew Poll finds some U.S. Muslims support
suicide bombing,’ June 1, 2007)
On her blog, Billoo posted a morbid quote from “Prophet” Muhammad, saying, “You should remember
the reality that brings an end to all worldly joys and pleasures, namely, death.”
(Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, ‘Death,’ May 28, 2007)
Billoo repeatedly refers to the state of Israel as “Apartheid Israel.”
(Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, “Boycott [Apartheid] Israel – Don’t Play another ‘Sun City!’” May 21, 2007)
Billoo posted a picture of a girl wearing a Palestinian Islamic Jihad
(PIJ) bandana around her head. The photo is titled “hamasgirl.” (Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima,
‘For the Record,’ May 8, 2007)
Billoo posted a violent Islamic call to faith stating, “‘Ya Allah,
You are my supporter and You are my helper, by You I move and by You
I attack and by You I battle.’” (Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, ‘Ya Allah,’ April 28, 2007)
This is the same statement made by convicted 9/11 terrorist, Zacarias Moussaoui,
during the April 2002 hearing against him. (Transcript of Motion Hearing Before
the Honorable Leonie M. Brinkema United States District Judge, Alexandria,
Virginia, April 22, 2002)
Billoo posted a picture of PIJ leader Sami Al-Arian and referred to the U.S.
government’s sentencing and imprisonment of him as “Dr. Al-Arian’s ongoing persecution.”
(Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, ‘Today…” March 30, 2007)
Billoo wrote that she attended a fundraiser for Al-Arian and ended the post by saying,
“May Allah (swt) grant the Palestinians and all of the oppressed peoples of the world
victory!” (Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, ‘Bay Area Muslims Mobilizing for Al-Aqsa,’ March 9, 2007)
Billoo described the work of the Hamas-related charity, Islamic Relief,
as “amazing.” (Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, ‘Daniel Pipes v. Zahra Billoo,’ February 17, 2007)
As well, on her blog, Billoo posted a video for and told people to donate to Islamic Relief.
(Zahra Billoo, CWZY MUSLIMA, 'Islamic Relief and Katrina,' September 7, 2007)
After seeing “Zionist Propaganda” on a San Francisco train (BART), put up by "Blue Star PR folks," Billoo had
thoughts about committing suicide. (Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, ‘Reminder for Palestine Activists,’
January 19, 2007)
Billoo told her readers to listen to the speeches that were given at the MSA West
Conference 2006, in relation to the speech she gave at its 2007 conference.
(Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, 'Daniel Pipes v. Zahra Billoo,' February 17, 2007)
At the 2006 conference, during Abdul Malik Ali's lecture, he stated the following: "Last week, we were all feeling so
good – we were all feeling so good – because of what happened with Hamas.
[crowd: 'Takbir – Allahu Akbar'] Now, it's always dangerous for an Islamic
movement to get involved in electorial politics. It is always dangerous.
But you gotta admit, [crowd laughing] when Hamas won last week, didn't you
feel good about that? And then, didn't you just think about the Yahood [Jews]?
[crowd laughing] Because remember the Israeli government was trying so hard
to destroy Hamas? Our beloved Sheikh Yassin was martyred. And then Sheikh
Rantisi was martyred after him… And then, the Israelis tried all they could
to instigate a civil war – tried to get the Palestinian Authority to attack
Hamas, and they did, and Hamas bit. They bit; they said, 'No, no, no, we ain't
fightin' back. We ain't fightin' back.' A brilliant move! A brilliant move,
because there would have been a civil war. They said, 'We'll wait.' That's the
Islamic movement. See, the Islamic movement is not planes going into buildings.
That's Yahoodi [the Jewish] movement. [crowd laughing] You know what I'm sayin'?
That's George Bush movement. [crowd laughing] You know what I'm saying? But the
Islamic movement is not putting bombs in subways and so on and so forth – in London,
so on and so forth – that type of thing. That’s not Islamic movement. When you
look at Hamas and see what Hamas is doing, you say that's Islamic movement! That's
what Islamic movement represents!" (MSA West Conference 2006, "Da'wah, Political
Activism and Civil Rights: Elevating the Word of Allah in the campus and society")
About Billoo being profiled on CAIR Watch: "It's sad because I don't deserve such an honor. Subhan'Allah a lot of the folks in
that Hall of Fame [CAIR Watch Profiles] are true superstars. We're talking about the likes of Dr. Sami
Al-Arian who has suffered ridiculous injustices, along with so many others who
have made innumerable contributions to the cause of social justice. I'm not fit
to clean the shoes of so many of those people." (Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, ‘Famous,’
June 12, 2007)
"Rather than use U.S. military aid for 'legitimate self-defense' or 'internal
security,' Apartheid Israel relies upon it to prosecute its illegal 40-year
old foreign military occupation of the Palestinian West Bank, East Jerusalem,
and Gaza Strip as well as it's altogether illegitimate existence."
(Zahra Billoo, Muslamics, 'Oppose $30 Billion in Military Aid to Apartheid
Israel,' August 1, 2007)
“It's day 14 of Dr. Al-Arian's hunger strike, he's lost 25 pounds and he isn't getting the medical attention he needs. Oh and did you forget that he's imprisoned despite a jury's inability to find him guilty of anything? You've got your wedding dress and jacket ready? Your party menu is set? Your sinuses got you down? You ready for finals?... If I had to weigh the questions I'm scared of being asked on the day of judgment, none of the above really frightens me. The one that does: Did you do EVERYTHING you could? Do yourself a favor, and do something for Dr. Al-Arian.” (Zahra Billoo, Muslamics, ‘Two Minutes for Dr. Al-Arian,’ March 17, 2008)
“Do you ever get tired of hearing folks talk about their birth right in the Apartheid State? Does the idea of Jewish people who left to Europe and the US willingly decades ago now claiming a birthright in the Apartheid State rub you the wrong way? Me too!” (Zahra Billoo, Muslamics, ‘Introducing Birthright Palestine,’ March 11, 2008)
“It would obviously be a generalization to say all of the troops are scum, but it might be one that I could make without feeling guilty. It's as though everyday we learn something new and disgusting that they are being ‘ordered’ to do.” (Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, ‘Support Our Troops?’ March 11, 2008)
“It's bad enough our money is being spent on an imaginary War on Terror. The US and their allies conducting this imaginary war in an inefficient manner, simply adds insult to injury.” (Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, ‘Top Commanders & Officials...’ February 11, 2008)
Billoo refers to Israel as “Apartheid Israel.” (Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, ‘Al-Awda Statement On Annapolis Conference,’ November 26, 2007; ‘Gaza Massacre Continues,’ February 28, 2008; “I’m Not Sure Who I Loathe Most...” March 3, 2008; ‘Talking Points on the Gaza Drama,’ March 5, 2008; ‘Taxes,’ March 16, 2008; ‘There is Palestinian Blood on Our Motorola Cell Phones,’ April 24, 2008)
Billoo told people to donate to Islamic Relief, a “charity” reported to be a front for Hamas. (Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, ‘Islamic Relief and Katrina,’ September 7, 2007)
Billoo attempted to demean Pakistani leader Pervez Musharraf by repeatedly referring to him as “Busharraf.” (Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, ‘Busharaf, aint no Abe Lincoln,’ December 11, 2007)
Billoo called a video celebrating the mistrial of the case against leaders of the Hamas financier Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF) “a great video” and mourns that “ITS NOT OVER.” (Zahra Billoo, Muslamics, “Holy Land Foundation’s Victory!!” comments, October 31, 2007)
Concerning Israel's 60th anniversary of its independence: "'Happy' 60 Years of Genocide, Ethnic Cleansing, Mass Murder, Rape, War Crimes, Oppression, and Illegal Occupation!" (Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, ‘Happy Birthday!’ May 15, 2008)
"Obama's first first foreign policy speech of the general election campaign entailed him 'whoring' himself out to AIPAC this morning. Sad, right? On the bright side, at least we now know for sure that Clinton and him agree on one thing: ensuring the Palestinian people continue to suffer under iron fist of Apartheid Israel." (Zahra Billoo, Muslamics, “The One Thing Clinton & Obama Agree On,” comments, June 4, 2008)
Billoo posted onto her blog an ad calling on people to wear their keffiyehs, head coverings which are worn as symbols of Palestinian violence. (Zahra Billoo, Cwzy Muslima, “Wear Your Kaffiyeh with Pride Day,” June 6, 2008)

Hamdan
Bin Rashid Al-Makhtoum
CAIR Financier
To stem the tide of the public relations disaster that
was the UAE ports deal, the United Arab Emirates (UAE),
on May 21, 2006, announced on its website its decision
"to build a property in the United States to serve as
an endowment for the Council on American-Islamic Relations
(CAIR)." This proposal, reportedly worth just under
$75 million dollars, was endorsed by Bin Rashid Al-Makhtoum,
who holds the positions of Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE and
UAE Minister of Finance and Industry. (Paul Sperry,
'The CAIR-U.A.E. Connection, FrontPage Magazine, June
20, 2006)
According to CAIR's Executive Director, Nihad Awad, "The endowment will serve as a source of income and will further allow us to reinvigorate our media campaign projecting Islam and its principles of tolerance, which is based on promotion of peace, co-existence and dialogue among various religions and cultures." (UAE INTERACT, 'Hamdan okays setting up endowment in US,' May 21, 2006)
Dubai holds the deed to CAIR's current Washington, D.C. location.

Alwaleed
Bin Talal
CAIR Financier
Bin Talal gifted $500,000 towards CAIR's library book
initiative, called 'Islamic Culture & Civilization,'
which began in September of 2002. Through this project,
Islamic book packages were distributed to public libraries
nationwide. (American Libraries Online, 'Islamic
Materials Campaign Funded by Saudi Prince,' December
9, 2002) The books included: Abdullah Yusuf Ali's
The Meaning of THE HOLY QURAN, a version of the
Quran that has been banned by the Los Angeles public
school system for having numerous anti-Jewish commentaries,
(Doug Smith, Henry Weinstein and Teresa Watanabe,
Los Angeles Times, 'Schools Remove Donated Books,' February
7, 2002) and Paul Findley's 'Silent No More,' a
book that lauds convicted terrorist Abdulrahman Alamoudi
and alleged neo-Nazi William Baker. (Americans Against
Hate, 'CAIR OFFERING BOOK TO LIBRARIES PRAISING CONVICTED
TERRORIST AND NEO-NAZI,' July 23, 2005)
In June of 2006, CAIR announced that it was planning
a meeting with Bin Talal to finance a five-year $50
million media campaign devised "to create a better understanding
of Islam and Muslims in the US." (Javid Hassan, Arab
News - Saudi Arabia, 'Media Campaign in US to Dispel
Islamophobia,' June 21, 2006)
In April of 2002, Bin Talal donated $27 million during
a three-day telethon sponsored by the Saudi government
group, the Committee for Support of the al-Aqsa Intifada.
The total amount raised, during the telethon, was close
to $110 million; Bin Talal had been the single largest
donor. According to Israeli intelligence, this money
was the main source of funding that went to 36 families
of Palestinian terrorists, including eight families
of suicide bombers. (Insight Magazine)
In October of 2001, former Mayor of New York, Rudolph
Giuliani, refused to accept a check for $10 million
from Bin Talal, after Bin-Talal said that the United
Stated needed to "re-examine its policies" towards Palestinians
in the Middle East, in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.
(BBC News, 'New York rejects Saudi Millions, October
12, 2001)
"The whole issue is that I spoke about their position
[on the Middle East conflict] and they didn't like it
because there are Jewish pressures and they were afraid
of them." (statement by Alwaleed Bin Talal, Saudi
daily Okaz, on why Mayor Giuliani rejected his $10 million
donation, October 13, 2001) |
Mustafaa Carroll
Executive Director and former Board President of the Dallas/Ft. Worth chapter of CAIR (CAIR-DFW, CAIR-Texas)
and co-founder and Media Contact of CAIR/HLF's Hungry for Justice (H4J)
As an officer of Hungry for Justice Coalition, Carroll has chosen to lend his name to
an organization that is attempting to gather support for individuals that were involved
in raising millions of dollars for Hamas, through the Holy Land Foundation (HLF).
(Josh Gerstein, The New York Sun, ‘Hamas Goes 'on Trial' in Texas in Case Over
Muslim Charity,’ July 16, 2007) Carroll has allowed the CAIR-DFW office to be
used for H4J “planning meetings.” (Children and Families for Humane Treatment
Alliance/CAFHTA, Yahoo Groups, ‘Fwd: [H4J-Coalition] DON'T FORGET!!!’ July 10, 2007)
On July 15, 2007, at the town hall meeting announcing the formation of H4J, Carroll
was a featured speaker, along with Muslim American Alliance (AMA) board member,
Eric Vickers. (H4J website, ‘H4J THM Story,’ July 15, 2007) Vickers had previously
called the February 2003 Space Shuttle Columbia disaster “an act of divine
retribution against Israel.” (U.S. Representative Jerrold Nadler press release,
‘Nadler Criticizes American Muslim Council for Suggesting that Shuttle Disaster
Was Act of G-d,’ February 5, 2003)
Carroll is the Program Coordinator of Masjid Al-Islam, located in Dallas.
(IslamCity, “Dallas / Fort Worth Area Masajids Unite for an ‘Islamic
Charity Day Event’ Planning Meeting,” January 29, 2006) The mosque’s
website contains several links to IslamiCity (Masjid Al-Islam, ‘Islamic Links
on the World Wide Web,’ December 11, 2004 - Present), a site that
repeatedly calls for the murder of Jews and repeatedly “curses” Jews
and Christians. (IslamiCity, ‘Hadith - Sahih Bukhari - English Translation,’
December 3, 2005 - Present)
On July 11, 2007, Carroll posted a CAIR-DFW newsletter on the CAFHTA Yahoo
Groups site, which included a call for donations to the “charity” Islamic
Relief. (CAFHTA, Yahoo Groups, ‘Fwd: CAIR Newsletter 7-11-07,’ July 11, 2007)
According to the Israeli government, Islamic Relief is a Hamas front that has
provided funds and assistance to Hamas. (Chris McGreal, The Guardian, ‘Israel
accuses British-funded Islamic charity of being front for terrorists,’
May 31, 2006)
Carroll works in coordination with Dallas attorney John Wheat Gibson. (CAFHTA Yahoo
Groups, ‘RE: [CAFHTA] Re: plackards,’ June 1, 2007) According to Gibson, “It is
safe to bet that practically anybody attracted to a master race superstition will
be a member of that particular master race: if one is Zionist, then one probably is
Jewish or affiliated with one of the fascist Christian cults, who regard themselves
as the chosen people of the Bible... How long the Zionists, who totally control the
media and weapons of the greatest and fourth greatest military powers in the world
can sustain the pretense of victimhood is anybody's guess, but it should be clear
that Zionism, like New Testament Christianity and Nazism contains in its success
the seeds of its own destruction.” (website of Israel Shamir, ‘From Elias Davidsson
and John Wheat Gibson,’ July 27, 2003) |
Zeinab Chami
CAIR-Michigan Staffer
Chami was the contact for an August 5, 2006 fundraiser
to collect money for medical relief to Lebanon. (Arab
Community Center for Economic and Social Services/
ACCESS, 'MEDIA ADVISORY: FUNDRAISER TO PROVIDE MEDICAL
RELIEF TO WAR-TORN LEBANON, July 25, 2006) The event
was in coordination with American Near East Refugee
Aid (ANERA), an NGO founded after the 1967 Arab-Israeli
war (Six-Day War) which partners with such "charities"
as Islamic Relief, an organization that Israel has labeled
a front for Hamas. (Guardian Unlimited, 'Israel accuses
British-funded Islamic charity of being front for terrorists,'
May 31, 2006) According to the NGO Monitor, "ANERA's
reports and newsletters present a highly biased view
of the conflict, ignoring any Palestinian responsibility
for hardship and contributing to the demonization of
Israel…" (NGO Monitor, 'American Near East Refugee
Aid/ANERA: Aid Activity Tarnished by Political Agenda,'
November 24, 2005)
"Without a doubt, the best mediums for young activists to flourish are college and
university campuses; and nowhere is the North American Shi'a youth movement more
palpable than at the University of Toronto. There-on the Mississauga campus almost
five years ago-the Thaqalayn Muslim Association (TMA) was established. Since then
TMA has seen unfettered growth-it currently has six chapters across the U.S. and
Canada, and is in the process of reorganizing itself to create Thaqalayn Central.
For our inaugural newsletter, AMYNA is proud to highlight the Thaqalayn Muslim
Association, which shares our mission to connect and empower the Shi'a youth of
North America." (Zeinab Chami, The AMYNA Connection, 'The Rebirth of Muslim Student
Activism,' 2005) The TMA chapter at Chami's Alma Mater, the University of Michigan-Dearborn,

"An entire nation has been turned into a war zone. The
most frustrating part is that I was born and raised
here, this is my country, but Lebanon is my country
too." (stated by Zeinab Chami, www.mlive.com, 'Michigan
State to bring students home from Israel,' July 16,

"salaam hajja, i think those of us in dearborn are feeling
this quite keenly. though we're in our protective cocoon--meaning
we can usually speak more freely..." (Zeinab Chami,

Chris "Abdur Rahman" Cusano
Former Director of CAIR's Orlando Office
Prior to joining CAIR, Cusano was the President
of the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at the University
of Central Florida (UCF). It was under his leadership
that the MSA invited radical imam Ibrahim Dremali to
speak at UCF. (official website of MSA of UCF, 'MSAUCF
Conference: Returning to our Rabb,' March 6, 2006)
Dremali, who is currently the imam of the Islamic Center
of Des Moines (Iowa), was formerly the representative
of an organization that was asking its followers to
give "material support" to groups associated with Al-Qaeda.
(official website of the SouthEast chapter of the
Islamic Circle of North America, March 1, 2000-September
27, 2001) As well, Dremali, in October of 2000,
told a crowd in Miami, Florida, amidst burning Israeli
flags and chants of "With jihad we'll claim our land,
Zionist blood will wet the sand," not to be sad for
suicide bombers and "to not be afraid to die for what
they believe in." (Um Ahmad, Islam Online, 'South
Florida Protest Calls For Jihad,' October 18, 2000)
