CAIR DEATH THREAT "NOT CREDIBLE"
GROUP TRYING TO DIVERT ATTENTION FROM ITS TERRORIST
TIES
(Coral Springs, FL)
As
reported last night, on CNN's 'Paula Zahn Now,'
the death threat that CAIR has been sending press releases
out concerning has been deemed "not credible"
by the FBI. This, according to the office of Senator
Barbara Boxer.
During the show, Paula Zahn stated, "Basim Elkarra
says he's received hate mail, including a death threat,
since the controversy erupted. Senator Boxer's office
tells CNN the FBI has investigated, and the death
threat is not credible."
Elkarra, the Executive Director of CAIR's Sacramento,
California office, had previously blamed
the so-called "death threat" on Senator
Boxer, using the issue to try to gain sympathy
after an award that had been given to him was rescinded
by Boxer's office. According to Elkarra, Senator Boxer
was caught up in "Islamophobia" and "consulted
with anti-Muslim bigots."
Joe Kaufman, Chairman of Americans Against Hate and
founder of CAIR
Watch, stated, "CAIR, in contacting the FBI
about a false death threat, has not only wasted the
FBI's time, but has shown that it was trying to divert
attention from the real issue, which is CAIR's association
with terrorist groups overseas. We call on the United
States government to act immediately to shut CAIR
down."
