ANTI-HATE GROUP SEEKS REMOVAL OF CONGRESSMAN FROM ANTI-SEMITISM TASK FORCE
AAH CREATES PETITION CALLING ON U.S. REPRESENTATIVES KLEIN AND PENCE TO REMOVE KEITH ELLISON
(Fort Lauderdale, FL) Americans Against Hate (AAH) has created a web-based petition calling on United States Representatives Ron Klein (D-Florida) and Mike Pence (R-Indiana) to
remove U.S. Representative Keith Ellison (D-Minnesota) from the anti-Semitism task force that Klein and Pence co-chair.
In August 2007, one of the first acts performed by the Congressional Task Force on Anti-Semitism (CTFAS) was to grant membership into the group to Keith Ellison, a controversial figure who is involved with various radical Muslim organizations.
Less than three months prior to him becoming a member, in May 2007, Ellison was the keynote speaker for the 4th Annual Convention of the Muslim American Society of Minnesota (MAS-Minnesota). As Ellison spoke, MAS-Minnesota had posted on its web site violent and hateful statements aimed at Jews and Christians. They included, “If you gain a victory over the men of Jews, kill them.” And “In view of the degenerate moral condition of the Jews and the Christians, the Believers have been warned not to make them their friends and confidants.”
Ellison has also given numerous speeches at events sponsored by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group with deep ties to Hamas.
Concerning Ellison’s radical associations, AAH Chairman Joe Kaufman asked, “What is the reason for the Anti-Semitism Task Force, if it is going to allow itself to be a party to those who represent anti-Semitism?”
Previously, Congressman Klein has refused to remove Ellison from the task force.
