EPISCOPAL CATHEDRAL TO HOST
"RADICAL ISLAMIST"

EVENT TO TAKE PLACE ONLY DAYS AFTER ORLANDO CANCELLATION BY DREMALI

(Coral Springs, FL) St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, located in Downtown Des Moines, Iowa, will be hosting an event, this Wednesday, featuring Ibrahim Dremali, the Imam of the Islamic Center of Des Moines (ICDM). This event, entitled 'From the Root of Abraham,' will take place just days after Dremali canceled his keynote speaking engagement at the University of Central Florida (UCF).

Dremali had cancelled his speech amidst negative publicity about him put out by FrontPage Magazine, Militant Islam Monitor, and Pipeline News. The published reports labeled Dremali as being a "radical Islamist" with "ties to terrorism." Dremali is connected to an extremist mosque in Boca Raton, where he was the Imam for many years. He had also been a representative for an organization that, prior to 9/11, while he was with the group, told its followers to donate to Al-Qaeda related entities.

Joe Kaufman, the Chairman of Americans Against Hate (AAH), stated, "We cannot fathom why an Episcopal Cathedral would invite someone like Ibrahim Dremali to speak at its religious institution. This serves no purpose, except to provide Dremali a cover for his past actions and affiliations. We call on St. Paul's to cancel this event and bar Dremali from entering its premises."

Joe Kaufman is available for interview. E-mail: joe4rep@gate.net.
